  1. Nice to see an article about the Davis wing section. To me, he seemed very protective of his methods, not wanting anyone to be able to reverse engineer it. Hence, the patents with unusual equations of unknown derivation and later lawsuits over royalties.

      I think Mr. Davis is worth a complete biography… (The lone ranger amid formalized engineering institutions and companies…)
      I was still looking for an article that the Saturday Evening Post (sic) once published on him.
